The California statewide minimum wage is $13.00 for employers with 26 or more employees and $12.00 for employers with 25 or fewer employees. However, on July 1, a number of cities across California will see an increase in their city-specific minimum wage.
These minimum wage increases are effective for any hours worked from July 1 and forward–even if July 1 is mid-pay period. Remember, employers should always opt to use the highest applicable wage.
Don’t forget that SDP will not automatically increase your employee rates! Please make any applicable rate increases in the system or contact our support team for instructions for making mass changes.
