Next Monday, we will celebrate Memorial Day as a time to honor all of our brave men and women who have died while defending our country. As we prepare to remember our heroes, Southland Data Processing would like to remind you that since Memorial Day is also a banking holiday, you may need to do some additional payroll prep this week.
Both Southland Data Processing and The Federal Reserve will be closed on May 28th in observance of Memorial Day. Because of this, transfers will be pushed back a day for check dates on or after the holiday. Direct deposits will also not be live for payrolls with check dates on May 28th.
We recommend you always check the Transfers section on your Payroll Summary report, which has the exact transfer amounts and dates. You can also contact your Customer Service Rep who can provide you with this information.
In order for your employees to receive their pay by May 28th, you should:
- Change your check date to Friday, May 25th
- Send your payroll by 2:00 PM PDT on Wednesday, May 23rd
For other check dates, you may need to send your payroll a day earlier than usual, as described below:
- Checks dated Tuesday, May 29th – send payroll by 2:00 PM PDT on Thursday, May 24th
- Checks dated Wednesday, May 30th – send payroll by 2:00 PM PDT on Friday, May 25th
As always, our team is here to help you with any issues with your payroll or check dates. Here at SDP, we pick up the phone, so don’t hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions.
We hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
